Head Instructor
Professor Beatty is a black belt (4th degree) in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under the legendary Renzo Gracie and Ricardo Almeida.
Professor Beatty is a multiple time NAGA champion, competing in over 100 submission wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu matches, and a veteran of early mixed martial arts competitions, achieving a record of 8-0.
Professor Beatty began upstate NY’s premier training facility, Spa City Jiu-Jitsu. The academy was home to the top Jiu-Jitsu competitors and MMA fighters in the region.
Instructor
Professor Marotta is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has been actively participating in the sport since 2010. Matt is a former high school wrestler along with being the captain in his junior and senior years in high school.
Matt has competed in several tournaments including NAGA and IBJJF, earing many bronze and silver medals. Matt has been teaching Jiu-Jitsu in upstate NY for the past 5 years.
